Select 13 – 1995 Birth year

The Atlantic District Player Development Program will identify, select and help develop the MOST QUALIFIED PLAYERS in the district at each birth year.

Through USA Hockey sponsored tryouts, players aged 14-17 who are selected attend a National Player Development Camp which are held at various locations within the United States.

These camps give players the opportunity to learn and compete at the National Level, while also being exposed to some of the finest coaches in America.

Players who earn the right to participate are required to attend one or more overnight training camps run by the district, which serve as a gateway to the National Venues.

All camps are held at our central training location -- Lawrenceville School.

While there is no National Venue at the 1995 Level, the Atlantic District affords our 13 year old players with a unique training and competitive opportunity.

The Atlantic District will be choosing a maximum of 46 players to participate at the training camp at Lawrenceville.

From those chosen, we will be selecting 40 players, consisting of 4 goaltenders, 24 forwards and 12 defensemen to advance to the Kent State camp and tournament.

These 40 players selected to attend Kent State will be announced at the camp July 19-20.

.

Following our tryout and two training camps, players will be equally divided into TWO TEAMS that compete in a three day round-robin event versus Massachusetts, Mid-Am, and Southeast District Teams.

Please note that our program is not an all-star team or typical summer hockey camp.

Our five-year development program is designed to evaluate and train the finest players in the Atlantic District.

Our evaluation process includes our tryout weekend, as well as regular season and other evaluation opportunities.

Our cadre of professional coaches is dedicated to providing a challenging and competitive environment which will afford short term enrichment and long-term development for each player who earns the privilege to be a part of the program.

Male players born in 1995 who live in the Atlantic District of USA Hockey for the 2007-08 season are welcome to tryout.
