The North Jersey Avalanche will be hosting its 3rd Annual Hockey Fights Cancer Charity games to bring awareness and to fuel the fight against cancer.
On November 29th, the Avalanche 15U and 16U teams will be playing against Selects Academy, and the Avalanche 18U team will be playing Team Virtua. All proceeds will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society. There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and chuck a puck.
“Cancer impacts nearly every family in some way so it is important that we get our players engaged in this fight and encourage them to be responsible to take ownership in this fight against cancer” stated Vinnie Smith, Avalanche 16U Head Coach and Event Organizer. Last year’s event raised over $60,000 and the Avalanche have set even higher expectation this year.
The event takes place at the Ice House in Hackensack, NJ and doors open at 5:30pm and the first game face-off is at 7:00pm
