We are excited to share that the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA), the USA Hockey Affiliate representing Delaware, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, is hosting the 2019 USA Hockey Special Hockey Classic. 

Special Hockey is adapted for athletes with a developmental disability or cognitive disorder and emphasizes fun, teamwork, social interaction, and providing an environment adapted to the ability of the participant.

The Special Hockey Classic takes place Friday through Sunday, November 8-10, 2019 at the Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey. The Ice Vault will have music, food and activities contributing to the festive atmosphere for all that attend.Special Hockey teams from around the United States and Canada are expected to attend which will include over 250 players and hundreds of spectators. Broad media coverage throughout the duration of the Special Hockey Classic is planned to highlight the NHL’s Hockey is for Everyone campaign.

It is our goal to make this a memorable experience for the players, coaches and fans but we need your help and support! Our goal is to raise $50,000 to support our players. All proceeds will support the growth of the six disabled hockey disciplines in the AAHA including blind/visually impaired, deaf/hard of hearing, sled, special needs and warrior/standing amputee.
