Each year, the AAHA handles several administrative and disciplinary hearings and appeals for a variety reasons. Those matters range from serious on-ice rule infractions to administrative matters where participants, teams and or Clubs fail to follow AAHA and USA Hockey policies.

When hearings or appeals are required, the AAHA needs to impanel at least three (3) relatively disinterested persons to hear the matter and render a decision. Persons involved with such hearings or appeals need to be familiar with due process and the policies that govern this process.

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) requires USA Hockey to have a fair and equitable set of rules to govern such due process. For USA Hockey, its called "Bylaw 10, Dispute Resolution, Discipline and Arbitration”

The AAHA is seeking volunteers to serve on this panel. Candidates will be required to attend a training session in Jamesburg, NJ in early December that will only take approximately three hours. The training session will help make you familiar with USAH Bylaw 10, and the process in which USAH requires.

If you are interested in participating, please follow this link (also linked below) and complete the requested information.

We look forward to hearing from you.
