After a double victory day in the quarter- and semi-finals, the Little Flyers are headed to the National Championship game in the Girls Tier-II 16U division.

They started the day in Denver facing off against the Anaheim Lady Ducks. Neither team scored, but the Little Flyers came out strong putting one past the Ducks halfway through the second. They maintained the intensity, scoring a second empty net goal with 11 seconds to go, securing them a spot in the semi-finals later in the day.

As the game started against Team South Dakota, the Little Flyers slipped and let one in halfway through the first. They quickly responded, ending the first with a tied game. Part way through the second, Victoria Hayes fed the puck to Bonnie Kate Mundy. She passed it off to Sophie Grant who put it past the South Dakota goaltender. Unfortunately, South Dakota scored again, leaving a 2-2 tie at the end of regulation.

The Little Flyers were not leaving anything to chance. They flew out of the gate, with Annie Dignazio passing it off to Charlotte Labre who scored, winning the game at only 1:18 into overtime. The Little Flyers face off against the RM Lady Roughriders Monday.
