Right before Christmas, The Protec Ponds sponsored a teddy bear toss for the YMCA Homeless Shelter of New Jersey. 

The games were on Dec. 18 versus Cranford and Dec. 19 versus Kings.

Spectators were encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to the game and toss it on the ice after either team scored. There were 78 children that the YMCA Shelter said needed a teddy bear for Christmas.
