PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Today is the last day of National Junior Evaluation Camp in Plymouth, Mich. where the Atlantic Affiliate had a strong showing. Tyler Muszelik, Tyler Boucher, Kenny Connors, Sam Lipkin, and Owen McLaughlin all attended the camp, which is used to select the team for the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Muszelik is a goaltender who was drafted last month by the Florida Panthers. He hails from New Jersey, where he played for the New Jersey Rockets before heading off to the USNTDP Juniors. He has committed to play for University of New Hampshire this season, following an appearance with Team USA at the 2022 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship in Landshut, Germany. During the tournament, he played in two games, recording a .909 save percentage.

Boucher is a forward and former USNTDP teammate of Muszelik who is currently playing with the Ottawa 67’s in the OHL. When in the Atlantic Affiliate, he played for Philadelphia Flyers Elite before heading to juniors and then Boston University. He was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2021.

Connors is a former Jr. Flyers forward who also went on to play for the USNTDP Juniors before heading off to Dubuque Fighting Saints in the USHL. He is headed to the University of Massachusetts to play this fall, after being drafted by the LA Kings last month.

Lipkin played with the North Jersey Avalanche, before moving on to the Chicago Steel in the USHL. He is another forward and was drafted last year by the Arizona Coyotes. He’ll head to Quinnipiac University in a few weeks to start the season.

McLaughlin rounds out the Atlantic Affiliate’s representation at camp, hailing from the Valley Forge Minutemen before heading off to Sioux City Musketeers. He’ll be returning to Philadelphia after being picked by the Flyers in last year’s draft. For the season, he is headed to University of North Dakota.
