Florida Panthers pick Muszelik

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Goaltender Tyler Muszelik from Long Valley, N.J. was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers. A member of the 2022 U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team, he used to play for the New Jersey Rockets.

Since leaving the Rockets, Muszelik has been part of the USNTDP Juniors team in the USHL. This past season, he played in 32 games and recorded a .899 SV%. For the upcoming season, he is headed to the University of New Hampshire.

His play is described as calm and under control, with a keen coachable ability that will allow him to go. He moves quickly side to side, making saves on the cross path. Muszelik was the 189th overall pick in this year’s draft.
