WAYNE, N.J. - For the second year, Ice Vault Arena hosted a Liberty Bell Games tournament for elite-level girls players. Joining players at the rink was an all-female staff and participant Officiating Development Camp led by Danielle Buggé and Chelsea Ward McIntosh.

“This camp is a great opportunity for female officials to connect while developing their skills over an intense, but fun, weekend,” said McIntosh. The camp started with a Zoom call on Tuesday, introducing participants and staff to one another. On Friday, off-ice video and review sessions were held starting in the morning ahead of the first puck drop. Participants then took to the ice for games observed by officiating coaches.

Staff for the camp included Kajsa Jackson, Alex Tepper, Madeleine Weeks, and Laura White. Several participants from the Southeast District also joined, including Jacqueline Zee Howard as a member of camp staff.

This camp is an opportunity for female officials of all levels to practice and learn together. The support structures during this weekend help our female officials make connections and gain confidence on the ice,” remarked Buggé.

Atlantic Affiliate participants included Mary therese Ciaccia, Sarah Dobrzynski, Megan Donohue, Ariel Gold, Caitlin Holden, Keira Holden, Melissa Kelly, Juliet McComas, Lucy Van Kula, and Olivia Yoder. Southeast District participants included Stephanie Beaman and Erin Chizamadia.

Atlantic Affiliate Referee-in-Chief Jim Doyle, Seminar Coordinator Bob Fyrer, Evaluation Coordinator Brian Bell, and President Glenn Hefferan all supported the effort. USA Hockey Referee-in-Chief of Female Development Kriss Langley also made an appearance.
