Boucher and Connors take ice with Team USA at World Juniors

MONCTON, New Brunswick - As Team USA looks to get on top of the podium at the World Juniors 2023 tournament hosted in Canada, two players from the Atlantic Affiliate are taking the ice. Forwards Kenny Connors from Glenn Mills, Pennsylvania, and Tyler Boucher from Haddonfield, New Jersey, are making their debuts on the international junior stage.

In pre-tournament play, Connors scored a goal to give Team USA the lead for what would be an eventual 5-1 win against Sweden. Previously, he skated as part of the 2019 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament team. Boucher was part of the 2020 Under-17 Five Nations, 2019 Under-17 Four Nations and 2019 World Under-17 Challenge teams.

Connors was part of the 2022 NHL Draft, where he was selected in the 4th round by the Los Angeles Kings. He is currently playing in his first season at the University of Massachusetts where he has appeared in 16 games with seven goals and 10 assists.

Boucher currently plays with the Ottawa 67’s in the Ontario Hockey League following his selection by the Ottawa Senators in the 2021 NHL Draft as the 10th overall pick. He has nine goals and six assists in 17 games so far this season.
