WAYNE, N.J. — Nate Nussbaum has been involved with hockey his whole life. He’s been coaching for the past 12 years at all different age levels, and he’s recently been involved with coaching education as well. Now, he’s poised to use that wealth of experience towards developing promising young players, as he’s been named the new American Development Model (ADM) Coordinator for USA Hockey’s Atlantic Affiliate.

USA Hockey’s ADM is a nationally utilized framework that guides hockey coaches and executives in how best to unlock the potential and nurture young talent. Mr. Nussbuam will be tasked with implementing that model within the Atlantic District. “It’s something I’ve always been passionate about. I want to assist in developing our players by following USA Hockey’s example and by supporting our coaches,” Mr. Nussbaum stated.

Mr. Nussbaum is looking forward to engaging with the AAHA community and assisting them directly with developing their players. “Yeah, I’m excited about getting out into the community and working with different rinks and programs to help to build their ADM model,” he explained. “I want to work with the district community to help grow our game, build up youth programs, and usher in the future of our sport.”

When asked if there’s anything else that he wants fans to know about him, Mr. Nussbaum answered, “I’d like people to know — coaches, parents, players — that I’m very approachable if they have any questions or suggestions about our ADM model or USA Hockey, please reach out.  I’m excited to get started and work with everybody.”
