HO-HO-KUS, N.J. - The middle of winter means the beginning of the end for the season. This weekend, the first round of playoffs begins for one of the sanctioned leagues in the Atlantic Affiliate that will advance teams to affiliate championships. During these important games, affiliate leaders are reminding all participants - players, coaches, officials and spectators - to keep their emotions in check.

The #RoadToNationals and post-season play is a long one - ten weeks to be precise. League playoffs will funnel teams to affiliate championships, which will crown top teams across divisions at the 12U through 19U age levels. USA Hockey Nationals offers Tier-I youth, Tier-II AA youth and girls teams the opportunities to make their presence known across the country.

This year, Tier-I youth nationals will look slightly different with the addition of a 13-Only division. Tier-II youth and girls teams will continue to advance by state, offering more of our players the chance to battle in a national tournament.

Regardless of each individual game’s outcome, the ultimate goal for the Atlantic Affiliate is offering a safe and fun experience for everyone involved.
