PLYMOUTH, Mich. - When the puck drops on USA Hockey’s 2025 All-American Game, long-time Atlantic Affiliate official Ryan Siegel will be on the ice. Hailing from South Brunswick, New Jersey, he is heading to USA Hockey Arena in Michigan for the matchup that features this year’s top NHL draft prospects.

Siegel started officiating at the age of 11 through the Atlantic Affiliate’s development program. He went on to skate high-level games in the Atlantic Youth Hockey League and other showcase series that gave him the idea early on how he could follow the pathway to skating junior and professional hockey.

For the past several seasons, he has been part of USA Hockey’s Advanced Officiating Development Program working games in the United States Hockey League. Last season, he was part of the crew that skated the Clark Cup Final between the Fargo Force and Dubuque Fighting Saints. That experience earned him another step up the ladder this year, as he has started officiating NCAA Division I Men’s games.

Along the way, he has always given back to the sport and officiating community. As a seminar instructor, he has helped new officials learn the mechanics and art of making the right call. He has also been an officiating coach, offering feedback to younger referees skating youth and junior games.

In high school, Siegel volunteered with a special needs hockey program. To this day, he has continued his service to the disabled disciplines, frequently volunteering for games at sled, warrior and special hockey national events.

The All-American Game takes place at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on NHL Network.
