Gaudreau family among honorees slated for annual AAHA Awards Dinner

MONROE, N.J. - Grassroots hockey leaders will gather on Friday, June 13 for the Atlantic Affiliate’s Annual Awards Dinner recognizing those who have given back to the game. From players to volunteers, the organization will celebrate the impact these individuals have had on growing the game.

Among the honorees is the Gaudreau family who will receive the Ed Snider Award, named after the late founder of the Philadelphia Flyers who also started Hockey Central as a way to accelerate amateur hockey growth in the Delaware Valley region.

In addition to the awards, the affiliate will present scholarship awards to players and officials. The invite-only event is taking place in Monroe, New Jersey, the evening before the organization’s annual meeting.

  • Ed Snider Award - Gaudreau family
  • AAHA Hall of Fame - Dave Baun & Jake Geverd
  • Youth Coach of the Year - Scott Bertoli
  • Girls Coach of the Year - Grace Klienbach
  • Official of the Year - Josh Shpungin
  • Volunteer of the Year - Eric Tye
  • Bob O’Connor Coaching Education Award - Andy Godjycz
  • New Leader Award - Eric Sailor
  • Disabled Disciplines Award - Wings of Steel

Scholarship recipients include:

  • Lou Manzione Scholarship - Ashley Chevestick & John Robert Huth
  • High School Player - Olivia Jacobi & Jeremy Rayher
  • Daniel Triano Officiating - Harris Hunsberger
